God told Noah to eat the animals by Laura Farrell
Christians love to say "God told Noah to eat the animals"
God also said it was okay to get a divorce.
Now lets consider if God condones divorce, simply because He allows it. I ask again,
"What would Jesus do?"
Or better yet, what did Jesus say "Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? 6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder." 7 They said to him, "Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?" 8 He said to them, "For your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another, commits adultery."
So looks like God is still not okay with divorce or adultery. Hmmmm

Genesis 9:8-17
New International Version (NIV)
8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: 9 "I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you 10 and with every living creature that was with you--the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you--every living creature on earth.11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."
12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
It seems pretty obvious from the preceding text, that Gods promise was to the animals, as well as Noah. Why would He do that?
People never appreciate the truth when it causes them an inconvience. They didn't want to hear Jesus' truth. "If they hate me, they will hate you also, for no servant is greater than his master."
This saying is a truth I love to live with. "Rejoice when they say all forms of evil against you for my sake, for great is your reward in heaven"
It was only after the flood that God allowed humanity to eat flesh food, but even then, man was forbidden to eat the blood or the fat. (How many Christians obey that directive of God?)
"It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that you eat neither fat nor blood." Leviticus 3:17
